Automaton Fountain Clock
A bronze and gilt figural clock with automaton fountain, circa 1825, depicting a shepherd (possibly Endymion) resting. The 8-day, silk-suspension, pendulum movement stamped Chappe, Paris has countwheel striking on a bell. The fountain automaton is spring driven by an independent movement wound and controlled from the back of the clock. Fully serviced and guaranteed for 2 years.
